Frequently Asked Questions
Here you can find a few answers to frequently asked questions. If you do not see your question here, contact me and I will be more than happy to answer you.
Why do you prefer Email to phone?
I prefer to remain focused especially if I am in the middle of a creating process. In addition, Email messages serve as a memo for me that I use to gather information about your project. After the initial contact I would take my time to carefully weigh out and decide on a deadline. They also help me figure out a quote.
What do you charge?
Cost differs according to the nature of the project. There are services with a flat rate and others with an hourly rate. Currently I charge $50 an hour. I always give a free estimate for the project before I begin working on it so you will always know how much it will cost you before you give your approval.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept Visa, Master, Discover and American Express credit cards as well as eCheck and PayPal. Payments are processed online via PayPal and Stripe for safety and ease of mind.
How long does each project take?
It is relative and entirely depends on the nature of the project. It may range from 24 hours to weeks or even months.
How is each project processed?
Our initial contact helps me gather a lot of information about your project. An estimate will be sent out for your approval. Then I will send out a PDF contract for you to sign. Upon receiving the contract signed followed up with the advanced payment, the creation process begins. First, I form an idea of the design direction, then I present it to you to evaluate. Here, you are allowed to suggest any changes to the scope depending on your concerns and needs. Giving your approval, I begin creating and building out the project. After completing the work, I present the final draft to you for final approval. Once the final draft is approved, you make the final balance due payment. Finally, I deliver the project to you with ‘best of luck’ wishes.
Do you offer hosting plans and/ or domain names?
No, I don’t. However, I highly recommend Hover for domain names and A Small Orange for hosting. Both of these companies provide good services and excel in customer support.
Do you offer after-design support?
I am available for code and design bug support officially for 120 days. However, support is totally rejected when I find out that another person has broken the code or ruined the design.
What is your refund policy?
This very much depends on the nature and stage of work. If work has not yet begun, you are entitled for a full refund. However, if I have already started working on the project and you decided to cancel it at the very early stages, I would charge a small cancellation fee plus an hourly rate for any hours completed up to the date of cancellation. On the other hand, refunds will never be issued if the project is completed and/ or delivered to you.
What are your TOS?
I am a flexible person, but rules of engagement are there to protect us both.
Contract required
Before starting any project, I sign then send out a PDF contract package for you to sign and return. This contract protects both our interests and serves as a guideline and a follow-up for the project.
Payments
I require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the project prior to starting the project and the balance is due at delivery time.
Changes to scope
You are free to request any changes along the way. Please, make sure to do that prior to making progress and approvals.
Project delays
We are humans after all, and delays may often occur. I will keep you informed of delays from my side, and I would really appreciate the same in return from you.
